Another emotional morning. I feel like crying....

My baby is now a little girl

Well, today V. turns four. I can't believe it! I remember her birth like it was yesterday! She arrived by emergency c- section at about 3:30 in the afternoon. She weighed 7 lbs.and 8 oz. and was 21 1/2 in. long. She was a perfect baby!
We didn't have a digital camera until she was about 5 months old. This is one of the only few pictures that I have scanned in. It was her first Halloween! She was 12 days old! So tiny and cute!

This was the first photo we took with the digital camera.Right after a bath. She's about 5 months old.

This is her first birthday! She loved her cake! She ate it and finger painted with it!

This is when she was about 2. I was canning and she had fun playing in my stockpot!

And this was yesterday. She is such a little lady now!

She has grown into such a smart, loving,sweet, funny girl! We love her to pieces and I think time is going by too fast! I want her to stay my little girl forever! She always keeps us laughing, she can tell when I am down and I need a hug and an 'I love you mommy'. She is smart and already writing not only her name, but ours as well. She loves being around other kids. She loves her daddy so much! When she plays with her baby dolls, she plays that she is the daddy. She loves hunting, digging for worms and 'working' on her bike.

But she also loves to sing, play the piano, and dance. She helps me bake and do the dishes. And I love when she picks me a fistful of flowers!{even if they are dandelions!}

We feel like she is growing into a well rounded person. Not too girly, but not too tom boyish either.

Anyway, I could go on, and on. I Love her! She is my angel. Happy Birthday my little stink bug!

V.'s cupcakes for pre-school

V.'s birthday is Monday, since today is the last day of pre-school before then, she got to take cupcakes to class today. This is what I made for her.

It's supposed to be a monkey. I think it looks weird. But V. was excited. I made chocolate zucchini cupcakes. She had fun licking the cake batter bowl.

I got the idea for these at http://servingpinklemonade.blogspot.com/. But hers look much better. But we had fun making them anyway!

Now, for her party on Saturday she wants me to make her a dinosaur shaped cake. Hopefully that one looks better then these!

Our Weekend

So this last weekend, we went to Boise. I had signed up to do another 5k with Steve's mom and sister. I had planned on doing this one and the 'Run for the Cure' In Idaho Falls, which I thought would be next month. I thought I could do them both. But after registering for this one in Boise, I found out that the one in I.F. was the same day! UGH! I'll have to make sure I get it done next year!
Anyway, the one in Boise is the St.Lukes Womens Fitness Celebration. I walked this a few years ago with Steve's mom when V. was a baby. I pushed her in a stroller that year.
This year, I wanted to see how well I could run it. I have been trying to run for the last month, but haven't made much progress. However, I do feel like I ran better this time, then the last 5k I did. It seemed a little easier. That's improvement, right?
So this is a picture of the front of the shirt. In the lower left hand corner you'll see there is a signature. Who's you might ask? Jared the subway guy! He was there at the end of the race signing cards that everyone got. But my sister-in-law and I thought it would be cool to have him sign our shirts!{I really wanted him to sign my bra...} Holy Cow! I'm just kidding! I know it's lame that we had him sign our shirts! But after a race you have adrenaline and are kinda in a silly mood!

They had these blocks of fabric you could buy for $5. All the proceeds went towards cancer research. You were supposed to write the name of someone you know or knew that has battled cancer. So, of course, I put down my mom. And I pinned the fabric to the back of my shirt.

This reminds me to tell you...This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month. PLEASE check yourself monthly! If you can, get a yearly mammogram! So many people think since no one in their family has had breast cancer that they are safe, or they think they are too young to get it. NO! It is so important to be proactive, and try to prevent and/or detect this and any other type of cancer you can!

Steve's mom, sister and I after the race. It was alot of fun! I still didn't run it completely, but I did shave 1 minute off my time from the last 5k I did. So I think that means I ran a little better.*shrug*

We had told Steve that we would be done with the race by 10:00. But his mom wanted to hang out and see some of the festivities afterwards. So I told him not to worry about coming to get us until after 11:00-11:30. But when I crossed the finished line, there he was with V. and her cousin J. waiting for us! It was so nice to see them! He was so good to feed them, get them dressed and watch them that morning so that us girls could do this race! Here's a picture of him pulling the girls around in a wagon.

The rest of the weekend was spent enjoying time with family.V. had alot of fun playing with her cousins while we were there.
